(Please note that this event has now been pushed back 2 weeks and that the race details are only provisional, if you entered the race for the date of 24th September and you are unable to attend on the revised date of 8th October you will be refunded your entry fee in full).

We are hoping for a good turnout of South West Vets at this team event, ideally with no unfilled places.  The distance is 4.5 miles.  Race 1, for M65, M75+ and all Women, starts at 1.30 pm.  Race 2, for M35, M45 and M55, starts at 2.30 pm.  The age groups, for both men and women, are 35-44; 45-54; 55-64; 65-74; 75+.

There will be a trophy for the winning team, with certificates for its scoring runners.  Points will be scored by 4 runners (M35 and M45) and 3 runners (M55+ and all women’s categories). Unfilled places in each category will be scored unfavourably, so there will be a big advantage for the teams who get a full turnout in all age groups, i.e. a minimum of 32 runners.

Cross country secretary Bill Valentine will co-ordinate our entries to ensure that we are not penalised for having unfilled places in any age group.  Since entries are online only by individual (team selection is automatic), you need to notify him by no later than 14 September if you are entering, stating your race category, so that he can request further entries where we are deficient.  You will also need to let him know a.s.a.p. if you subsequently have to withdraw:  Tel: 01395 516763  Email:  This email address is being protected from spambots.
